Reconnective Healing FAQs

QIs Reconnective Healing or The Reconnection related to a certain religion?

A
Reconnective Healing services are not tied to a religion as it is a set of high energy frequencies available to all. These may be described as coming from the universe or God which may vary depending on one’s interpretation.

QWhat happens during Reconnective Healing?

A
We are honest in saying that we do not have all the answers to what happens. The practioner acts as a witness to the energies and the client’s experiences. Some clients report visions, sounds, smells and fragrances and others report no specific experience. Usually clients who are open but not expectant to anything in particular recall more during their session. This may be due to them being more relaxed during the session. This is why three sessions are usually recommended. Some report experiences after their sessions such as improvements in other areas such as in relationships.

Massage FAQs

QWhat to expect on your first massage therapy visit?

A
The massage therapist will ask general health questions to rule out if you have any contraindications to massage. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor’s care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage prior to any session.

QWhere will my massage take place?

A
Your massage or bodywork session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax.
You will lie on a massage table especially designed for your comfort.

QWhat do I wear during a massage?

A
Depending on the primary technique your therapist uses, you may or may not need to undress. Thai massage is performed wearing loose fitting clothing so you will not need to undress. It is preferable that you do not wear jeans but instead yoga pants or sweat pants. Reflexology concentrates on the feet, hands and lower legs so you will not need to undress. For a full body Holistic Path massage using Swedish and deep tissue, most people undress completely. However, you may choose to wear underwear. Your massage therapist will give you privacy to undress, and you will be covered with a sheet and a large towel at all times except for the area being worked on.

QWill massage oils will be used in my massage?

A
Reflexology uses a light application of oil on the hands and feet. We do not apply oils during a Thai massage. Only hypoallergenic massage oils are used to prevent any reactions to the skin. However, if you have sensitivity to certain types of oils or lotion please bring it to the massage therapist’s attention.

QHow long does a massage treatment last?

A
The average full-body massage treatment lasts approximately one hour. Many people prefer a 60- to 90-minute session for optimal relaxation. Always allow relaxation time prior to and after the session.

QHow will I feel after a massage therapy treatment?

A
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended you drink plenty of water following your massage.
